1. Booking Groom's wear
1.1 When the full outfit has been chosen it can be reserved for your ceremony date. To do this a deposit is required.
1.2 A minimum deposit of £100 is required; £50 is subtracted from your hire cost and £50 is a security deposit. The security deposit is an additional charge but is refundable. It is only refundable after the suits have been hired and returned meeting all criteria. (see section 6.)
1.3 None of the £100 is refundable on cancelation of suits.

2. Fitting of Groomsmen
2.1 It is recommended all men make themselves available to be measured in store by our trained staff. Men should be measured individually at their own convenience around 6 weeks before the ceremony. If anymore than 2 men plan to be measured at once an appointment is required. (Phone 9073 2427)
2.2 At this fitting it is the groomsmen's individual responsibility to fit suits correctly with guidance from staff members. Before leaving the store each man agrees his measurements and ensures they have been recorded correctly on receipt. If men are unable to be measured in store we accept their measurements being phoned in. Page boy's fittings should be around 2 weeks before the ceremony. Opening hours are 9:00-16:30 Monday to Saturday. We are not open any late evenings.

3. Final Fit and Collection
3.1 This is considered the most important part of the process; it is each mans final opportunity to change items in store. After we have all measurements and outfits assembled, it is required that each man try on their complete suit in store. It is possible to do this from 5 working days (Mon-Sat) before ceremony (earlier can be arranged)
3.2 Groomsmen do this at their own convenience and when outfit is personally approved can be taken home. Men who are not available for final fit in store are expected to try on at home and for any changes required, must come back to store to swap. We are not liable for those travel costs.
3.3 All items that leave the store are considered correct and fit for purpose and any problems brought to our attention after the ceremony do not apply for refund or compensation.

4. Payments
4.1 Payments can make at anytime in store or via phone. We accept cash, debit/credit cards. We do not accept cheques or American Express. The final balance should be cleared no later than one month before the ceremony.

5. Return of Grooms Wear
5.1 It is required that all suits are returned meeting these criteria: a) On Time b) Using the hangers and suit bags provided (including white identity card) and without damage. (see section 6) It is recommended that the Best Man or another nominated family member is responsible for the safe return of all hired suits.
5.2 It is not required for any items to be washed before return.
5.3 Suits will be checked within one week of return and any not meeting the criteria or returned late may lose all or part of £50 security deposit.
5.4 Were applicable the £50 security deposit will be refunded to the customer via company cheque and will be available to collect in store. Postage of the security deposit can be arranged but we can not be held liable for post being lost. If a cheque is required to be cancelled and re-written there is a fee of £10 at the customer's expense.

6. Loss or Damage of Items
6.1 It is the responsibility of the groom to ensure the outfits are returned complete as supplied and without damage. Damage includes and is not limited to: Tearing, Burn Marks, Permanent Stains, Holes, etc.
6.2 Any loss or damage to outfits will incur a cost for repair or replacement. These costs may be more than the security deposit and will require the Groom to reimburse Gowdy's.

7. Modification of Order or Cancellation
7.1 Any request for modification to your order must be done by Bride and Groom. We will facilitate these changes were possible and they may incur a fee depending on supply and demand judged at our discretion. For example; if it is requested that a suit colour or style is changed, and was declared sold out due to your reservation, we reserve the right hold full deposit paid to cover loss of income and your new suit will be booked as a new order with a further £100 deposit.
7.2 There is a 'grace' period of one week after booking suits were any cancellation will be fully refunded, minus £50 to cover admin fees.
